Cave painting-Hands

Fannish works in progress right now (end of 2014 edition)

And, for the record, fannish stuff that's currently under development:

- The Sam and Bucky in the wilderness WiP which I am going to finish dammit.

- White Collar/Avengers fusion in which Peter is the Winter Soldier (now up to 16K). I posted a bit of this back in May and it seems to have turned into an actual fic, but as I was afraid of, it's going to be long.

- I still haven't given up on writing "season two" of the Psychic Neal AU, which I've been dragging my feet on because it's probably going to be some level of depressing/sad/awful (though I really like the idea suggested in comments awhile back of writing the non-depressing AU of the AU instead; even that's going to be pretty dark, though).

- The White Collar/Fallen London fusion I'm co-writing with [personal profile] frith_in_thorns is now up to 26 installments and 40K, but there's still so much game content for our hapless characters to explore. (We haven't sent them to the Iron Republic yet! Or done anything in the Labyrinth of Tigers, or at the Palace, or put anyone back in prison, or really had much of anything involving the Masters ...)

- One thing I really want to write for White Collar, now that the show is over, is a long post-canon story that wraps up dangling plot/emotional threads left over from actual canon. Right now it's more a collection of vague ideas for things I want to resolve rather than a story (I haven't even written anything down, and I don't know what plot is going to tie it all together) but I've spent a lot of time with these characters and I'd really like to do this as a closure sort of thing.

- The 7(!!) remaining squares on my h/c bingo card.

*tries to think if there's anything I'm forgetting*

You will indeed, because I finally gave in and started reading before it was done, and there will be nagging soon if it's not! :-)

YESSSSS. My precious, I wants it! (Look at me not whining about what the show didn't give us. At least that leaves room for you!)

Will the Fallen London make sense to someone who has never played the game at all? I suppose the point may be moot as I may not have time, which is why I haven't dipped my toe in there yet.

Looking forward to next year!

I noticed that! :D (That you'd commented, I mean.) I'm not going to leave it hanging, I swear! I just need to get back into the swing of it; I really don't have that much left to write.

I know some people are reading it who haven't played. Generally we try to explain, in the fic intro notes, the basics of whatever aspect of the game the story deals with. I expect there are some things that will be confusing, because all the fics are FULL of little in-jokes and game references, but we've been doing our best to make them accessible to non-players as well.

(If that makes any sense.)

You also don't have to read the stories in order. Some of them pick up directly from the previous story, but most are stand-alone, so you could skip around to whichever ones look interesting.
Ooh, YAY for more Fallen London fusion! \o/ Yes, please? :)

But you can write some fluffier one-shots in between, can't you? I really really loved the birthday fic you've just posted, exactly because while you could feel darkness lurking beneath, it feels very hopeful itself.

I'd love to see what you'll come up with. Thought I don't want to have anything to do with post-canon, I think I'll make an exception for it:)

btw, isn't the "happier" post-canon Christmas fic you've mentioned at AO3 comments in development too? :)
Thank you! ♥ (ahahaha, I actually considered the birthday fic pure fluff, and wondered if it was TOO fluffy to post, although now that I think about it there is that background undercurrent of terrible stuff happening to Neal. Season two is SUPER DARK. I may have to do something about this.)

.... mmmmmaybe. I seem to have lost most of my interest in it now that Christmas is over! It's still partly written, though, so hopefully I'll get another surge of interest later in the year. :)
Well, I meant darkness mostly in a sense "Neal's childhood was terrible", but it's all better now that he has Peter...
But there is no such thing as "too fluffy"! :-D Especially after what canon gave us - the more fluff is the best:)

I hope you'll get your interest back - you can't leave them all sad and alone!
White Collar/Avengers fusion in which Peter is the Winter Soldier

I think, you've just made my year...
Happy New Year!!

I am Really excited to hear that they will be more to the Psychic Neal AU and the Peter as the Winter Soldier!!!

I don't mind Dark as long as there is the tiniest bit of hope thrown in.

All the Best in 2015 to you and your family. :)
Lots of great projects in the works, yay! :D

From feedback on my previous fic, I'm now wondering if Jayne and I could do a short (very short) fic entirely from Bugsy's POV (or maybe from Bugsy and Satchmo's POV)!! I suspect it won't happen, but you never know! :D
Looking forward to more stories :D

So glad to see your White Collar muse seems to be making a comeback. They are always some of my favorite stories.
White Collar/Avengers fusion in which Peter is the Winter Soldier (now up to 16K)

1) Yay!
2) Does it count as Jossed since Neal's WC canon "death" makes him a better plot-match for Winter Soldier?
3) Heh. "Jossed" and Avengers.
4) ... I should probably get back to my ADHD meds sometime soon.

But seriously, the plot parallels amuse me. You could totally see Peter and Elizabeth taking the Steve and Sam roles and stealing the last scene of CA:TWS for WC. Mozzie as Natasha. The character matchups would fall apart quickly if you pushed it any more, but the plot beats are near perfect.

Anyway, looking forward to whatever this year brings!
