Winter Sunlight

A couple of recent fanfics

I've written some fanfic lately that I haven't posted over here ... mostly due to laziness ... so I'll just link to it on AO3.

Blanket Fort (2698 words) by Sholio
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Captain America (Movies)
Rating: General Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers
Characters: Steve Rogers, James "Bucky" Barnes
Additional Tags: Friendship, Seizures, Pillow & Blanket Forts, Brotherly Bonding, Fluff and Angst
Summary: Lots of things change. But for Steve and Bucky, some things don't. (for my h/c bingo "family" square)

And I tried my hand at writing comicsverse fic for the first time. After getting used to writing the MCU versions of Steve and Bucky, it's downright weird to take a shot at channeling the comics versions; their dynamic is so different!

see you on the night side (2085 words) by Sholio
Chapters: 1/1
Fandom: Winter Soldier (Comics), Captain America (Comics)
Rating: Teen And Up Audiences
Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply
Relationships: James "Bucky" Barnes & Steve Rogers
Characters: James "Bucky" Barnes, Steve Rogers, Daisy Johnson
Additional Tags: Missing Scene, Heart-to-Heart
Summary: Missing scene for the new Winter Soldier comic; also spoilery for Captain America #25 (the latest one). This is for my "skeletons in the closet" h/c bingo square.

I'm also so behind at answering comments. SO. BEHIND.

Damn, I missed fic by you!

I haven't been keeping up with AO3 lately, and I'm not subscribed to you there - it didn't even occur to me that you might post something without crossposting here! *rushes off to read*
I didn't mean to! I posted the first one while I was traveling and it was easier to put it up on AO3. Then I just kinda ... forgot to crosspost. /o\ And eventually it was easier to link.

I don't plan to make a habit of it, though.
Great story. I really like how Steve struggles to help Bucky, by first getting him a wash cloth, then hot chocolate and lastly by deciding to build a pillow fort. I love this line:

"As with the cushions, it seemed that blanket forts used to be larger."

Thank you so much! :D heeee, hot cocoa and blanket forts and comfort -- SO TOTALLY MY THING. I think it's kind of hilarious how I write basically the same thing in all my fandoms. (But it's a good thing!)
